Her most successful stage play was 'Three to Get Married'. It was later revised for television for production by CBC and was viewed in Canada, England and New Zealand.

Order of Canada

A 'modern day pioneer in children's broadcasting', Kay was awarded the Order of Canada in 1999 for her contributions to Canadian heritage through her writing.

Vicky Metcalf Award

Kay was awarded the Vicky Metcalf Award for 'a body of work of inspiration to young people'.

A Canadian Classic

Kay Hill co-wrote 'The Farm Family' aka 'The Gillans', the first Canadian soap opera on CBC radio.
